### Off-campus logistics day

Doctor's appointment, therapy appointment, Ben's (Izzy's brother) birthday dinner. Brought robot arm to Izzy's house to work from there.

### Robot arm — assembled and working

Assembled the medium-length arm — it works, but has some shake. Plan: double up servos on the first two joints (already validated this design earlier). Need to design a new version with:
- Doubled servos on joints 1 & 2
- ArUco board markers integrated into the design
- **Ideally this is the final arm design**

**Timeline:**
- Tomorrow (Thu): Design + print the final doubled-servo arm with ArUco markers
- Friday: Assemble and test
- Getting faster at designing so this shouldn't take too long

### 567 Final — May 1st

Read the outstanding lectures I missed. Next steps:
- Make a study guide
- Plan study schedule using provided example exams
- Exam is May 1st (~9 days out)

### Paper

Should also work on graphics, slides, and website for the paper. Need to keep this moving alongside everything else.

### Logistics

- DMV: Still waiting on dad for insurance proof. Just reminded him again.
- Taxes: Need to file USC stipend taxes via TurboTax. No rush but sooner is better.

### Tomorrow — Panda sanity check

Before running full experiments, do a sanity check:
1. Record a trajectory of picking up a bowl in a fixed place
2. Deploy the recorded trajectory back
3. Verify it still picks up the bowl correctly
4. This validates all inputs/outputs are correct before training models on the data

Don't skip this — catching I/O bugs now saves days of debugging later.
